Ways to find data in the Piedmont Prospector:

 

Pick a Starting Point

Enter Location:

You can start from an address – just enter it in the Find Location box at the top left.
Street address, city and state to pinpoint your starting location.

Get Data

  1. Once you have a starting point, click on the location icon to get a variety of statistics including:

  2. These tabs will appear below the map after you click on the location icon.  For each tab, you can choose your cluster or category and mile radius to search.  Click the Generate button to start your search.

  3. Each location on the map will have basic data and below the map you can filter down to a specific category to get detailed information.

Run a talent search by cluster & county

In the Find Talent by County, just chose the cluster and county then press the search button.

Run a county or city demographic report

In either the County Profiles or City Profiles box, chose your location and the type of demographics you would like, and then click on Show Profile button.

Create a thematic map

In the Thematic Map box, choose your variable and click the Show Thematic Map button.  The map will show your data by Census tract.

Report, share, download

For any of these options, you can run a report and share it!  The buttons at the top right-hand corner of the map offer print, email, pdf, Word and Excel options.
